Информация о домене заноситтся в так называемую базу данных Whois
1. Registrant - Владелец
Организация или субъект, который регистрирует доменное имя, также известные
как Registered Name Holder. За ним делигируется право использовать
определенный домен определенный период времени, согласно условиям
использования и оплате услуги.
2. Administrative Contact -Административный контакт
Особа или организация назначенная владельцем, чтобы выступать его имени при общении с архивариусом.
Администратор не отвечает за технические вопросы.
3. Billing Contact - Плательщик
Организация или особа производящие оплату за регистрацию доменного имени.
4. Technical Contact -Технический Контакт
Организация или особа,которые ответственные за технические действия над доменом. Обеспечивает настройку
ДНС для данного домена. Технический Контакт отвечает на все вопросы касающиеся технической части.

6. Reseller
Tucows Reseller авторизован компанией Tucows для продажи ее продукции.
In the situation where a Reseller elects to substitute its information for the domain Registrant's in the whois service, Tucows has established the following guidelines. These guidelines will ensure when it is and is not appropriate for the Reseller to include its information in the Organization field.
A Reseller may substitute its information for the domain's Registrant of record in the whois service when;
1. The party requesting the registration of the domain name has expressly agreed to the Reseller doing so on their behalf. Resellers typically elect to insert their information in the Registrant field when their customer has asked them to do so for privacy purposes or when the domain name is offered free to the customer when they agree to purchase additional services from the Reseller. The Reseller must provide their customer's agreement as a condition of an agreement between themselves and their customer, and must keep a copy of this agreement to demonstrate the requisite consent.
As such, the Reseller must:
- Clearly indicate in the terms of the agreement with their customer(s) that they are acting on behalf of the Registrant.
- Provide the Registrant's information upon request from either the Registrant, the Registrar, from any third party pursuant to a dispute policy, court action, or for any other lawful purpose.
- Promptly change the information at the request of the Registrant or Registrar.
- Have clear policies in place for both transfers and renewals to eliminate any ambiguity as to what happens to the domain upon its expiration date.
- Promptly, insert the customer's information if and when they are required to do so pursuant to a dispute policy or for any lawful purpose.
Please note that, if the Reseller does elect to adopt this practice, from Tucows' perspective they:
- Assume full responsibility and liability for the domain as that domain's Registrant. This means that the Reseller will be a party to any dispute that arises with respect to a particular domain name.
- Clearly communicate to their customer that they are offering to them, the use of a domain for a specified time period, for which they are the Registrant of Record.
- Have clear policies in place for both transfers and renewals to eliminate any ambiguity as to what happens to the domain upon its expiration date.
It is inappropriate for the Reseller to edit the whois information at any time unless they are doing so on behalf of the Registrant or they are listed as the Registrant of Record.
Истечение срока Полиса Домена
С даты регистрации, домен принадлежит исключительно к Владельцу на срок один год плюс
срок "резервации", в течении которого, домен не может быть продан или передан Перекупщику.
После этого доменное имя переходит в свободную продажу.
